Concept Black Architects is seeking an experienced Interior Designer with a minimum of 4+ years in to work on various corporate commercial & workplace projects.  Whether you’re exploring new opportunities or aiming to elevate your professional career, we invite you to have a chat for the opportunity to join our dynamic design team in Melbourne.

The ideal candidate should possess a well-rounded understanding of revit design and documentation, Australian building codes and standards, and a practical approach to design. Independence, resourcefulness, and the ability to articulate ideas in a collaborative environment are key attributes. We are well versed with our client for our ‘Can Do’ attitude, ‘Hands On” approach & collaborative mindset.  Experience with urban design residential / commercial mixed-use projects is highly relevant to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design process, from schematic and concept design, in particular the use of Revit & Enscape to create custom asset & branding elements that enhance the design.
• Ensure creativity, functionality, and adherence to the project brief and design budget.
• Proficiently use Revit and Enscape for conceptualisation, modelling, and rendering.
• Prepare furniture, finishes, fixture & fitting selection and create working schedule accordingly.
• Oversee the documentation process, ensuring accuracy and design / statutory compliance.
• Maintain awareness of all matters relevant to the design and production of project deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering and design solutions.
• Participate in client meetings to understand and address project requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in an design firm or similar.  
• Proficiency in Revit with a good understanding of Enscape/visualisation tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit as the main tool for design and detailed documentation.
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills (proficiency in English is crucial).
• Experience with relevant codes, Australian standards, regulations, and design guidelines.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Versatile skill set, capable of contributing to various stages of the design process.
